Haiku

2002.01.11 - Updated page to XHML + CSS. My first encounter with Haiku was in junior high English class, 7th or 8th grade, I don't recall which. Haiku are short and simple to write, yet can convey a lot of feeling. So maybe once a year I get in the mood (boredom) to write a few haiku. Ah, I just remembered, I wrote some haiku in Air Force BMT.

1999.03.27 - Six new Quake2 related Haiku. I was inspired to write these by boredom and the Quaiku Page.

1997.05.09 - Page created.

Business Ethics class
A three page report
I must write by six p.m.
Ethics really bites.
A court of ethics.
I view the scene before me
Where is my barf bag?
Idiots chatter
Stick to the ethical case
Ugh, Both sides suck shit
Again, this lame class
More ethical dilemmas
I must run away
Resistoleros
See the children sniffing glue
Life fading away
Misc.
Evil AOL
I welcome not its users
Steve Case pedophile

Headline News is once more on
Lynn Vaughn r0x my nutz

Observe their beauty today
Lynx, Mosaic, Netscape, welcome
Quake
So many women
So much effort to tame them
I'd rather play Quake
I, newly respawned,
run towards the full backpack
The sniper frags me
Misc.
Time passes slowly
I wish I had brought my book
Asimov, Grandmaster
The hot sun shines down
Sitting, waiting, Let's go
I bake in my car
Quake2
Warm green plasma ball.
We all know it moves too slow.
Scortch them, laser beams!
They whine a bit more,
I shall show them no mercy,
Hot green plasm death!
The rail leaves a trail.
I find the sniper quickly.
Eat urainium.
Stand still I say again.
You prolong your life little.
Four gibs go flying.
I possess the flag.
Move to the fucking right, bitch.
Teammate gets me killed.
I near my home base.
Suddenly I'm dead again.
That rocket amp whore.
Air Force Basic Training
Tight beds, dust free floors
Even thirds, folding tightly
Pass the inspection
Hut two three four now
Steady on your left food steady
Marching to and fro
Five seven and five
Simply count the syllables
Don't you love Haiku?
Time passes quickly
In just four short weeks from now
Airmen we will be
Reporting statement
Don't forget it, frickin' nut
